Remote Unresponsive
If you have questions or need assistance troubleshooting an unresponsive remote after trying the steps below, call us at 1 (877) 783-6137 or email hello@odessaconnect.tv
If the orange OdessaConnect remote control is unresponsive or behaves in an unexpected manner such as:
OK, STAR, TV, and TALK buttons do not light up when you press them
buttons are hard to press or are sticky
pressing buttons on the remote doesn’t operate the TV or OdessaConnect Resident TV App
Try these troubleshooting steps:
Battery Pull Tab
Fresh remotes from the factory that have never been used have a battery pull tab installed. To remove, simply pull the PULL tab out. If this is difficult to remove, slide the battery cover off the back of the remote then remove the PULL tab, then reinstall the battery cover.
After removing the PULL tab, the remote must be paired via Bluetooth to the OdessaConnect TV Box.
Watch this video on how to pair the remote control to the TV box, via Bluetooth.

Remove battery pull tab
Batteries are low or dead
If the remote is behaving in a strange manner or button presses are inconsistent, try replacing the batteries. The remote control takes (2) AA batteries. To install new batteries, turn the remote upside down. Then slide the remote control battery cover downward and remove it from the remote. Remove the old batteries and replace with new batteries.
Water, Dirt or Physical Damage
Inspect the remote for physical damage. If a remote has a sticky substance spilled on it, it can get into the remote casing and cause issues with button presses.
