Pairing Via The Pairing Button

This guide will walkthrough how to properly pair an Odessa remote to an Odessa box.

Before pairing the remote to a new Odessa STB, make sure to reset the remote to clear any possible connections to other Odessa STBs. To do this: Hold down the Down Arrow and ON/OFF Buttons till all LED lights turn on. Then press the ON/OFF button once. Once that is done, you will have factory reset the remote.

While the OdessaConnect STB is powered on, press the orange pairing button on the back of the box.

Once the button has been pressed, a message will display showing that the current remote is connected. If you are replacing this remote, press the pair button again and disconnect it.

Once the button has been pressed a second time, it will prompt to press the OK button to pair the remote. Press the OK button on the remote and the LED light should appear to be flashing.

NOTE: If the OK button is not flashing at this step please refer above with resetting the remote.

On the display it’ll take up to 10 seconds to show that the remote has been paired. Once it shows that the remote has been found, a new screen will appear for pairing the TALK button.

Once the TALK button starts to flash, press the TALK button and wait up to 10 seconds while the STB pairs the microphone.

Once this has been completed the OdessaConnect STB will return to the main menu.
